Premier Shooting Center

Advanced Rifle

Advanced 2 Day Rifle:

Premier Shooting Center has a sentiment that we believe everyone can perform at their highest level and there is no such thing as ‘basic’ it just depends on how far down the training road we have all travelled….one person’s advanced is the next person’s basic. In this dynamic course you will be spending 90% of the time on the range developing skills and fluency in firearms handling and putting these skills into practice on the range and in the shoot house.

If you know what a type 1, type 2 or type 3 failures fire is from the ‘basic’ course and how to clear and safely and efficiently deal with the stoppage then you are ahead of the game….if not then by the end of this reasonable fast paced course you will certainly have them committed to muscle memory

This course is an escalation of skills from the fundamentals and is a solid foundation from which many other courses would benefit

It is ideal for…

  • Those shooters that have recently taken and achieved skills within the Basic Rifle course and wish to push themselves further.
  • Any shooter who wishes to develop their skills beyond 90% of people they see down at the other ranges
  • Many ladies do feel pressure when they are within the shooting scene and in some less modern facility have been looked down on for their skills. Not here at PSC !! Feel comfortable in this no pressure, no sexist, fun environment and develop your skills just as much as any other shooter. This skill builder will have you on the firing line demonstrating total confidence and skill
  • The shooter wanting to move into 3 gun competitions where speed and accuracy are key

courseThis 2 day course will move at a quick pace and the skilled instructors will ensure the class achieves the goal of gaining competence and confidence in an environment that is fun and educational – this is not a brow beating or militaristic environment at all

Held partially in the instruction classrooms of the club house but with the vast majority of time being on the firing line, the course will guide the students in correction of the three prime stoppage problems; understand all the principles of grip/stance/sight alignment/sight picture that will ensure first round hits on targets under timed pressure; be able to perform administrative and emergency reloads,; develop shoot move tactics and firing from unconventional positions; and the use of slings. Second day will cover doorway entry, hallways and multiple targets. Then just when you think you can relax we will put you on the clock to ramp up some pressure

Putting it all into practice:

outdoorAt the end of the second day when you have gained so much more skill and confidence there is an option to be challenged under a high pressured experience where the instructors will raise your adrenalin and test you in the shoot house.

This building is a 5 story structure and is meant to simulate a multi target scenario that will push you on reloading under time, dealing with doorways, hallways and stairs. It is designed both as a dramatic exciting end to your skills building training course but mostly to demonstrate to you that, even under pressure, you have engrained the manipulation skills, solid handling skills and situational awareness skills and can cement that confidence and competence in your mind and know that you performed under pressure.
